Ten checks before you pay the agent bill
- Duplicate retries — same tx hash, or equal payment within 120s without a receipt on both rows.
- Price escalation — settled above quote by more than 1%.
- Failed-but-billed — status failed/error/timeout/5xx while settled > 0.
- Runaway loop — more than 30 calls in any 60s window for one agent.
- Missing refund — charged more than actual, refund not recorded.
- Unknown asset/network — the row does not say where the money went.
- Missing payee — no recipient recorded.
- Model overpay — above 3× the same agent’s median for the same tool/model.
- Budget bypass — no policy file; the budget lives in a prompt.
- Budget exceeded — settled above the per-agent limit.

What a report looks like
Every finding has a row number, the rule, the amount, and the evidence. Three amounts stay separate: money without a reason, above the usual price, over the budget. Adding them into one “saved” number would be dishonest.
